Imagine Schools at South Lake Named 2010 "Florida School of Character"
Arlington, VA (January 11, 2010) – Imagine Schools at South Lake has been named a Character Education Partnership 2010 Florida School of Character by The Golden Rule Foundation, school officials announced today. The award, which recognizes schools that excel in academic achievement, character evelopment, and the value of community service, allows Imagine South Lake to compete for the CEP 2010 National Schools of Character Award.
“We are so proud and honored to have been chosen as a 2010 Florida School of Character! Imagine South Lake strives to be the best it can for its students and the community alike. This award recognizes our passion for character education and our commitment to service learning,” said Sherry Anderson, 3rd grade teacher at Imagine South Lake and Co-Chair of the school’s character task force.
Imagine Schools at South Lake (Clermont, FL), led by Principal Christine Watson, serves students in grades K-8 and constantly aims to establish a culture of character in which parents and teachers work toward the common goal of high student achievement.
