Roy Gamse

Executive Vice President

Roy Gamse joined Imagine Schools in 2006 after a career in management and entrepreneurship in the nonprofit, business, and government sectors.  He was the founder and President of Earth Force, a national nonprofit that helps young people learn about and take action to protect the environment in their communities.  He has been the Acting President of Youth Venture, a national nonprofit that helps young people start new sustainable community-serving ventures.

Roy has been senior vice president of three international telecommunications firms (MCI, LCI International, and Qwest Communications).  He also served as Deputy Assistant Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for which he was awarded the Distinguished Federal Executive Award by President Carter.  Roy has a B.S. in Economics from MIT and an MBA from Harvard.  He is responsible for Imagine Schools’ operations in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
