MicroSociety

The MicroSociety curriculum program creates a miniature
society  within the school that empowers students to take ownership of their learning.  Children learn real life skills like the following:

  1. learning to become financially literate,
  2. running businesses,
  3. managing a bank account, and
  4. shopping weekly in the market.

The program goes hand-in-hand with the Imagine Schools philosophy and confronts students with questions of ethics and values on a daily basis.

MicroSociety is used in the following Imagine Schools:

  • Imagine School at South Vero, FL
  • Imagine School at West Melbourne, FL
  • Imagine School at Bell Canyon, AZ
  • Imagine Academy of Careers Elementary, MO
  • Imagine Academy of Careers Middle, MO
  • Imagine Harvard Ave Community School, OH
  • Imagine Penn Hills Charter School, PA
