Direct Instruction (DI) features explicit, rapid-paced instruction by which any student can learn. Validated by significant research and proven to be highly-successful, DI is a methodology that employs visual and auditory cues to teach students material as a class, in small groups, and individually. Both an instructional tool and a specific delivery system, DI is a mastery-based program: ongoing instructional decisions are based on student performance, enabling students to achieve more and to achieve it faster.
